Most countries now require that you show a certificate stating negative test result when you arrive. It is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with which test you should take based on your destination. This page might be helpful.
The PCR-test is recommended if you have symptoms, are a close contact, have been abroad or suspect you have Covid-19. This is the most accurate test to detect the virus, and you normally get your test result after 1-2 days.
Sometimes a rapid test result is required from eg. place of study or flight companies. In these cases a rapid antigen test can therefore be an alternative to the regular PCR-test. You wil normally get the results within 60 minutes. If you get a negative test results, your EU Certificate will be green for 24 hours.
The accuracy of the rapid antigen tests are a bit lower than with a regular PCR-test. The rapid antigen tests that we use are approved for use by the The Norwegian Directorate of Health. Still, there is a recommendation to only take this test if there is a practical reason such as those described above. If your rapid antigen test result is positive, Kry offer a PCR-test for free to make sure your result is correct.
