Stian Strand Strømmen
I graduated as a psychologist in Denmark in 2022 and obtained Norwegian authorization in 2024. Since 2022, I have worked in specialist mental health services with children, adolescents, and adults. Before becoming a psychologist, I worked as a physiotherapist in Denmark for ten years. I have further training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for trauma treatment and in Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT).
As a psychologist, I have experience working with anxiety, depression, and trauma, among other challenges. I am committed to helping people who experience a wide range of psychological and emotional difficulties.
I tailor therapy to your individual needs. I am particularly interested in understanding the underlying causes of your struggles and how emotions, life experiences, and relationships may influence your well-being. My focus is on finding an approach that feels meaningful and helpful to you.
I am a curious, open-minded, and empathetic psychologist. It is important to me to meet you with respect and without judgment, while seeking to understand the world from your perspective. In therapy, I strive to create a safe space where you can openly talk about what is difficult. Together, we explore what you would like help with and what may support you in moving forward.
